About Us
Our Story:
Troop 7016 began in 2024 as a sister-troop to Troop 1016. Since then, we have doubled in size! We are very active outdoors, with camping monthly, including a full week of summer camp, as well as at least one unconventional campout each year! This might be things like camping in a salt mine, a float trip, or spending the night at a space camp! We are a primarily scout lead troop, so many of our trips are thought out and planned by our scouts!
Community Service:
Community service is an important part of Scouts, and of our troop! Through regular service projects, our scouts provide a positive impact to others and to the world around them. If you have a service opportunity, please email us at troop7016kc@gmail.com and we'll be in touch!
Visit a troop meeting:
We invite anyone interested in joining our troop, or just scouting in general, to attend any of our regularly scheduled troop meetings, which are held Mondays from 7:00 - 8:00pm at St Andrew's Episcopal Church, 6401 Wornall Rd, except for the first Monday of each month which is reserved for our Green Bar meeting, where scouts who hold a leadership position in our troop (Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leaders, Quartermaster, etc), meet to discuss and share ideas.
